Education can be Fun!

Our bespoke itineraries can deliver learning outcomes from all key stage curriculums as well as requirements for Duke of Edinburgh awards and general personal development. We also offer other qualifications such as NICAS climbing qualification which are achievable during visits.

We understand the requirements of teachers and pupils can vary greatly between educational establishments. At our training centre we are able to respond to these demands and can offer certificated courses to nationally recognised levels to suit any particular curriculum.

The very best training is imparted by highly qualified and experienced instructors who are sensitive to the needs of individuals. A wide range of curriculum based activity sessions are available which, although educational, are also fun.

Adventurous Activities!

We offer a wide range of activities which guarantee an action packed, educational and memorable visit including:

On-site Group Accommodation

We offer exclusive use of a choice of two large Bunkhouses on-site each sleeping up to 24 people. They can be booked individually or together, depending on the size of the group to be catered for. Adjacent are informal camping facilities with impressive views over Llangorse Lake and the Brecon Beacons in the distance.

Visit our Accommodation section, or call us on 01874 658 272 to find out more.

At the heart of each bunkhouse is a large kitchen and dining room if you wanted to prepare food yourselves during your visit. Alternatively our Base Camp Cafe can handle all of your catering needs!

Base Camp Cafe has lots of experience catering for large groups and companies from all over the UK, recently playing host to the BBC’s Live ‘n’ Deadly and Rugby League giants, the London Broncos.

Special menus can be prepared to suit the exact needs of your group, including any select dietary requirements.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch, packed lunches, buffets, teas, dinner, supper – Base Camp can do it all!

A Safe Learning Environment

Safety is our number one priority and is paramount to everything we do. We are AALA accredited and provide only the best safety equipment which is comprehensively checked and tested on a regular basis.

Our friendly, experienced staff are trained to the highest standard and are first aid qualified, DBS checked and are fully covered by our public and employer’s liability insurance.

All activities are risk assessed (available on request) and exceed all regulatory health and safety requirements.

“We have just had a fantastic week of horse riding, as a school group staying in the bunkhouse at the Llangorse Outdoor Activity Centre. Llangorse is a beautiful setting, and the riding centre has super staff and an excellent choice of horses and ponies, suitable for all ages and abilities. The children experienced a variety of activities: lessons in the menage, a gymkhana, riding and jumping in the fields and hacks on the mountains. We thoroughly recommend this centre.”
