New Climbing and Bouldering Area

The centre has expanded the climbing and bouldering areas with over 5,000 square feet of new walls! This includes slabs, a chimney, overhangs, and a hanging volume!

Also, in the centre of this area, the seed of a Giant Mushroom was planted, and has now grown tall enough for the more adventurous to climb!

The new area was officially opened on Wednesday 22nd July 2009 by Alun Ffred Jones AM, the Minister for Heritage. This was followed by a climbing demonstration, talk and coaching sessions by the renowned Scottish climber, Dave MacLeod.
